My Story:

Well I Got my JRT from a family that could not provide and or take care of her and I saw one day a sign that said Free JRT puppy so I called them and talked to them. I then made an appointment to meet them that friday to see the puppy. At first I wasn't really sure she was soo scared in the back of her kennel and shaking I picked her up put her in my coat to keep her warm.
I took a look at her and she looked up at me with her sad lookin eyes. I looked at my uncle and asked him if I could have her and he said yes. After that the previouse owenrs said that if I didn't take her she was going to the pound.
I had to give her about 5 baths because she smelled of her own feces and urine. After that though she was my dog she got sooo attached to me and still is she is my best friend that I ever have had.
Today she no longer has a kennel cough, knows that she doesn't have to always be afraid of everything, knows to use the bathroom outside and loves to play with nanook, she is haveing a very happy life and this year 2008 she will be turning 2.
I know I only got her about one year ago but to me it seems I've always have had her all along. Happy new year's and I hope to meet more people who have JRT's here on Dogsey. ^_^
