    My Story:
I have had dogs since I was 3 years old. As an adult, I have also had other animals, including goats, chicken, geese and birds.
Now I just have birds, chickens and a garden pond with fish in.
At one time I had three collies with my ex husband, and when we split up we had joint custody of the two remaining.
We lost the last of them at the end of June. I missed him so much that I had to get another dog straight away.
I got a retired racing greyhound this time, as I can't give a Collie the exercise or time that it needs due to work commitments. He is an old boy that was put back in kennels due to his previous owner emigrating.
He has settled in really well and if he misses his old home, he doesn't show any signs of this.
I am amazed about what gentle, elegant dogs Greyhounds are. I hadn't taken any notice of them before and got him purely because he didn't need lots of walking. But I am so pleased with him. I still miss my Collie and sometimes cry when I think about him, but Robbie has helped me through this. I didn't so much rescue him, as he rescued me!
I have now adopted another dog, a Lurcher this time, but looks like a smaller version of Robbie.
