My Story:

I have had a dog my whole life since I was four years old and my sister brought home a stray. I had two wonderful dogs for over 10 years and they died within several months of each other about 10 years ago. Then we got another dog, who we had to have put down last year. Now we are planning on getting another dog in the next several weeks, but my son has asthma and I am looking into which breeds are asthma friendly. There is a puppy at the pound we would really like. He is Mastiff/mix, or half mastiff. My brother had a mastiff who was wonderful. this dog will not get quite so big because he is mixed, but i am waiting and trying to research how often a mastiff molts and how allergy friendly they are.
