They have a kelpie muster / festival in Casterton Victoria (in Australia ) annually .birthplace of the kelpie breed . looks like they cancelled it this year , https://www.castertonkelpieassociation.com.au/ They sold a working kelpie in the annual casterton working dog auction named Hoover this year for $35,200! Here :https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2021-06-14/hoover-the-kelpie-working-dog-sael-record/100213124 there’s plenty of info , or vids on YouTube of the kelpie festival if anyone was into kelpies and wanted to check it out .
I reckon , it did a fantastic job ! When you consider how valuable the dog would be on a large sheep station , relative to the wages of even 1 Human farm worker which comes no where even close to the dog , it really is worth a great deal .
