Adopted a 6 year old AB female, she was a puppy mill breeder for four years in Iowa. Then had a bad owner. She is a pretty sweet dog but has that eye condition entropion. Our local Small Town vet did one surgery and then touched it up on the second surgery and I looks better the lid doesn't roll back anymore. But after I clean her eye out sometimes it almost immediately starts to weep mucus to cover up her eye again. Would it be worth taking her to a different town for a different opinion? I guess sometimes the surgery just doesn't work perfectly...
A second opinion never hurts. If you have a university with a vet school, you might try them. They will have the latest skills and tools and with this type of problem, they can make a big difference.
