Mine look the same, def not a dark reddy yellow, get a slightly darker coat in winter and can look darker in different lights, def not choc though!...

There are two i trust that being the East Midlands dog rescue and Many Tears Rescue, there are so many out there, maybe others know of some?
Have you thought about other rescues than the RSPCA? I know if i had the choice i wouldnt go with the RSPCA as i find myself disagreeing with them...

Well i wouldnt worry, your son wanted a pup to love and he got that, he wanted one to show, well he didnt get that quite, but great fun can be got...
I had this problem with rescue too, but Many tears and East midlands dog rescue are very sensible and of the view that children brought up with dogs...
They are very active dogs, but i have a collie pup of 20 weeks and a 9 month old = two labs and i manage just fine, but we do spend lots of time...
and many tears do too :-)

Looks like a full Staff to me too and lovely to boot! :-) I am always getting asked what my girls are, just because they are a little shorter than...
