So is Mace 'More' of a Border collie because he is bred to conform to a breed standard? As opposed to the breed types you get one farms?

The hybrid vigor thing.....not saying I agree that it is always the case....but I expect that is why the cross breeders health test. to 'prove' thier...
Make sure you protect her from other dogs - find a decent class to get her to and make sure she can sit in the corner and learn how to come out of it...

Hmm...I said that Showing was not a purpose....nothing about the dogs enjoyment. I do not see Agility/obedience/HtM as a purpose either - the dogs...

No - the dog should be single purpose....to work. IMO - showing is not really a purpose - just a hobby for the owner.
