There is a Smooth coated one working HtM and as an assistance dog. She has a lovely nature but has taken a very long time to grow up an mature.
I wouldn't have called it a traditional name...but I do know a few collies called Chase - so I guess it could be ;). I am a bit concerned I do not...

I think its great that you do such a good job - I think we have had the dissucssion before about general breed rescues and breed specific rescues....
I have had two in classes in recently history - one Black and one Liver - both Beautiful dogs .... (But not for me)
Trip is A GWP x as well.....although with her it is 1/4 as opposed to 1/2 - her other sides are all gundogs as well....She does really wel and HtM...
I'm sure the breeder would want to know - I sure as hell would!.

Thats not what I have said....anywhere! I am saying it is not specific to northern breeds!! I have never owned - again - nor have I said...
But thats not what happens -and incidents like this are certainly not specific to Northern breeds....this is what I cannot understand.
Is there a breed of dog you would let off the lead in an unenclosed space (not meaning by roads or livestock?) Example - we have miles of dunes...
I am talkiing mainly in work context - they go round the agility course, but tended to stick with the owner. Nothing was particularly hurried just...
The one's I have met have been slightly less energetic and not as full on about herding - but I have never lived with one.
