I know nothing of the Turkish breeds but have seen this lady in rescue .. Any one who knows the breeds recognise her as a Kangal or a Anatolian ??...

Been around shih tzu 's a good while and have owned 2 Shih rescue crosses.. Stable friendly little dogs who have kept my boxers on there toes.. Coat...
There are loads of husky crosses in rescue these days so at the time you will have no trouble finding the right partner ... I Keep seeing husky...

You are right, to knock down and keep at bay rather than attack ...
Most of the breeds i like seem to appeal to a type of owners . Maybe i am that type ...lol
Beorbeol's are an alternative but it seems the wrong kinda breeders are getting hold of them and mixing them with anything ..

I remember seeing pictures of dogs years ago that seemed to have less weight but as much stature .. The one i seen recently was really really heavy..
Some boxers are far from large though ..
Does anyone have personal experience of the English Mastiff . Are there more than one type ??

People tell me Ozzie is a big dog but Boxers are classed as medium sized..
