They certainly are a natural colour Gaz, just not "desirable" in the early days and were usually culled.
As you can image I board a lot of Labs being very popular. I can say without doubt, that the most temeprament "aggression" issues come from black....
We board a couple of Bolognese. One is very timid the other isnt, both came from the same breeder. One has had extensive surgery for a ruptured...

"Zamp Vom Thermados" a truly beautiful German Shepherd. I watched him at Crufts, his movement was effortless, everything you could ask for in a Dog....
They are ACE!! I love the one where the youngsters are trying to get the toy!
I like this breed and he is a super pup! Its probably the only retriever I would have they tend to be calm and placid in relation to others. best...
