Can anyone with border collies post pics of them as pups and again as adults- would really like to see what the different coats look like and turn into...or if not- know a site where there are pics of both? thanks And no- im not telling you just yet- its a secret!!
oooh, i can't help I'm afraid, all mine are rescues so no puppy pics.....but can I play guess the secret? Are you going to joing us collie owning nutters?
Any chance to post more pics of my baby Siren at 7 weeks Lily (her sister) And when they are adult - (22months) Lily has a much thicker coat than Siren, but she has been neutere.
oh my - gorgeous, I love his/her (?) markings. What type coat are you hoping for? Why only 'possible'? (if you don't mind me asking)
I dont really mind what coat really- just curious to know... well i am yet to see her, shes 12 wks old and was kept back to honour future owners holiday but they let breeder down- im going to visit and possibly(probably!!) pick her up on tuesday(4hr drive away). so i dont want to get too carried away! The litter was bred for agility and thats hopefully what i'll be doing with her..but have to meet her first!!
Great news I've only ever picked a pup once - then always adult rescues - how easy is it to tell their character/ temperament at that age?
Ooh are you about to join the lunatic asylum? ;-) Gorgeous photos Tassle. Here is Moss ... Pup Adult Here are Mossie, Greg and Tip as pups (as well as the rest of the litter!) And at 12 months old Greg Mossie Tip I have loads more, so if you want to see them, just ask
It took me so long to sort through my photos on PB that your news has overtaken me! LOL! Fab news Collies go so well with Shepherds, so I am sure she will fit right in She is absolutely gorgeous. Does she come with a name?
She looks quite bare-skinned in that photo, so she probably won't have a long coat. What type of coat are you hoping for?
oooh thanks guys- im thinking possibly more like mossies or gregs coat..what do you think? As for the temperament- well i will see her with only her litter brother(who breeder keeping) so i guess its harder to judge without seeing them in a litter, but as long as she seems healthy, and confident and behaving like a normal pup should be, i'll no doubt be bringing her home!!!
and i replied without seeing your post moobli!! i really dont mind on coat- her dam has a coat like gregs and sire has a short coat...i really dont mind which coat type- more after the character and temperament side...i believe her name at the moment is.....cutiepie lol...i have a few ideas but wont say until i have decided! dont want to jump the gun so to speak!
I like cutiepie Fingers crossed for you that the meeting goes well...let us know how you get on as soon as you get back (pleeease)
Wukee at 14 weeks Wukee now Indi at 6 weeks Indi at 10 months Indi's sister in Australia Rjj at 6 weeks Rjj at 13 weeks Rjj all grown up Is she a registered BC or a WSD ? She looks smooth coated. All the health tests done of course
WSD. all health tests done. I too am hoping that everything is as good as it seems...im looking forward to tuesday now!!
Sounds good & all the health tests(including DNA-for TNS,CEA,CL)should be on the registration certificate. Have the parents been checked for Glaucoma as this is a fairly recent test ? I presume you have checked the pedigree for epilepsy links ?
She definately looks like a cutiepie. Here's some pics of mine to compare. Teagan (smooth coated) as a pup. Now Bertie (very rough coated) as a pup Now Skye (rough coated) as a pup Now
