    I know of a breeder who will weight/glue the tips of young dogs ears if it looks as though they may be prick eared. They also breed Rough Collies where I guess the practice is more common.
    I don't see the point, tipped, pricked and heavier set ears are all supposedly acceptable under the breed standard.

    Bobbing the tails of BCs is just plain wrong. They usually are working in open country where tail damage shouldn't be much of a problem. Not to mention the help the tail gives in turning and stabiliztion.
    I'm not anti-docking across the board but I'm also not blanket pro-docking.

    Interesting post..............I personally love the big blk and wht, the Merles second, closely folloed by the Red/wht............did I end up with that no.........I have two Tri and 1 Blk/wht
    Two of them are shorted haired and the other semi long.

    The one in the middle i was after her merle sister but she went before i got there so am stuck with black and white's :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
