    French Pug high price tag!

Was just being nosey and having a browse at different dogs (not much on telly  )

Anyway having seen pictures of the lovely Lola  i had a google of french bulldogs and found an advert for French Pug pups and couldn't believe my eyes.... they wanted £5500 for them

Im sure they're lovely pups but seriously £5500 for a dog am i the only one thinking of all the other things you could spend with that kinda money!!

What is a French pug? I thought they were properly called Chinese Pugs? Is this a cross breed?

Gah, makes you sick doesn't it.

I saw a 'Rare Cavador Puppies' add the other day, claiming that that had the only litter they were aware of in britain.
A natural mating thanks to their 'very athletic and agile male cavalier stud dog who never gives up!'

:-( Not good. Can't imagine why anyone would want to cross these two breeds! It amazes that people will pay this sort of money- if people would just do some research before buying a puppy they'd know how ridiculous this sort of thing is!

Why would you ruin the perfection of a frenchy by crossing it with anything! Likewise with the pug! *sad*

Why would anyone NOT want to cross these two wonderfull breeds? CAVADORS are amazing and mae excellent family pets that combine the look of a labrador puppy with the placid nature of the cavalier. Why have a COMMON lab or labradoodle that everyone has these days when you can have a breed that NO ONE else has in the UK !!!!! By the way it is well known that pure breeds have more health issues than Cross breeds.

Would you buy from a breeder who is this ignorant about genetics?

even if they did live under a bridge.

Can I just ask how you would know that they are the only litter? There are a lot of dogs in the uk, and cross breeds can't be registered, there might be a few of these crosses around, also what you have isn't a breed, its a cross, just like my dogs are crosses, I just hope that you have enough money if the pups end up with health problems and the new owners don't want them any more and return them, have to say with such a difference I would worry about any problems that the conformation of this cross would produce.
