    Galiprant

    Hi, I have two 8 yr old rough collies. Has anyone used Galiprant for pain management?

    Did your vet prescribe Galliprant or is it something you can buy OTC at a pharmacy?

    My Vet had to prescribe. Very expensive arthritis med at about $300 for 90 days

    As it is an NSAID I would have thought there would be a far less expensive alternative. Is there something special about it?

    Our departed gal, Layla was on Galliprant for a while at close to 15 years old, there was something about it, I think no NSAID complications to her kidney function, which was already compromised at the time. I can't say that it was super effective though, I think we discontinued it and stayed with Tramadol for her Spondylosis.
