    Health tests for pugs

    Hi all

Well despite having read several books about pugs I can't seem to find any info on hereditary illnesses and tests they should have.

Now I cannot believe that they are so healthy that there are no tests that breeders should be doing!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated:grin:

They certainly do suffer yes. The main one is hemivertibrae, a crippling spinal deformity. Breeder do xray for this. (or should) I dont think they do eye tests as such but could be wrong, but they have definitley had eye "pop out" and we have boarded some that have difficult breathing due to their excessively short muzzles.
