Hello, My girl Agatha is 11 month Cane Corso and I don’t think she’s had a heat yet I haven’t noticed Any swelling or mess . Is it possible she hasn’t had it or I missed it ?
Dogs usually have their first heat cycle when they reach puberty. Small breeds tend to reach puberty and have their first heat early [around six months of age whereas large and giant breeds, which reach puberty later, may not come into heat for the first time until they are eighteen months old, or even later. There are always exceptions but the above is the norm.
