Hi, I am planning on getting a golden retriever and there are 2 breeders I am considering. I would appreciate any help to select a healthy pup so I can enjoy many years with my dog companion. Many thanks in advance!
This is a UK based forum and although we have members in the US I think you will be lucky to come across a GR show person. I kept Goldens from the late 50's through to the 70's and, although I recognise the names of the UK dogs mentioned on that pedigree site, they are a long way back. I wouldn't be qualified to advise on present day lines. Are you a member of a breed club? They are usually the most useful source of information, often the web pages can be worth a visit. If not, there should be a list of relevant breed clubs on the AKC site.
