    Help!

I'm at a loss for what to do for my 1 year old, male, Great Dane.
We got him as a 10 week old pup from a very reputable breeder.
He is in a house with 2 adults and 2 little girls who adore him.
He is super smart and knows many commands. (doesn't always follow them)
The issue started with him being aggressive, snarling when someone came to the door. This progressed to showing aggression towards ANY small child who came in. No, no, no my children are never alone with him nor have they abused him.
We hired personal trainers.. also very reputable who gave double the lessons and then just stopped showing up.. they stated we didn't have to pay our last installment.
Now he has progressed to being so aggressive at the vet that they can't treat him. He almost bit my husband. (Tried large dose of sedation.. no effect) he gets exercise, quality food, toys and attention... I'm heartbroken but no longer trust him.. what else can I try?
He is scheduled for neutering in June (I waited on my vet's advice)
