I'm afraid that's life. It's just the same with all the designer breeds at the moment. I personally don't see the point in half of them, but there's not a lot I can do to change the fact that they are pretty much recognised breeds now. Not that I would particularly want to, it's no skin off my nose, I just care about my breed. If enough people want that sort of dog, then it kinda proves the point that there was a point.

You can't stop people creating a breed, and if enough people want the same type of dog, then it will become a breed by default, else it will peter out and become another fad consigned to the bin The fact that people come up to me and ask whether Kopek is a NI sort of proves the point that there is now a recognised breed.

.. a friendly gesture :) don't you smile when you have a conversation with people .
I could answer about the variation in a standard but it would take too long to do so just now.

Well myself and my children and husband have decided that Lola will now be known as a lesser striped mango eating werewolf

    Anyone else want one??

The fact that people come up to you and ask if he is an NI only means the market is flooded with the poor things

Yes.. its a specialist diet its so vegetarians can feed them too.. Personally I think they will sell better than wolf x dogs as you have to feed them blood and meat and stuff

I love all that blood, meat, and stuff, especially the stuff

Do you then spend hours explaining why your dog has the same breeding as the "breed" they thought it was in the first place but is called a different name? Im jut curious Phil and playing devils advocate, not meaning to cause aggro.:)

My definition of a breed? Well basically what I said earlier to you.:)

P.S. how is Mally? Pic update needed I think!:002:

I just tell them there was a disagreement in the breeding practice and leave it at that. I'd be disapointed if you didn't play devil's advocate :)

Malli has settled in fantastically well. Although Kopek thinks her tail is some kind of new toy, and persists in trying to pull her round the house by it. That is, until she puts him in his place. Typical woman, tease him along, then ball him out :)

I'll get some pics up soon, too busy writing at the moment, just finished a book about the tales of Kopek and his love of bits of our house :-(

Don't know whether this is allowed, but if you search Flickr for "Kopek" and then click on my username you should find about 60 or 70 photos.

Character, now that was one word I hadn't considered when describing him. That was back when he was just a pup, and we still had carpet before the little ****** took a liking to it.
