Here is my sisters Irish staffordshire bull terrier. Also my friends Pure bred irish staff Cassy.

Here is Neo - he is 11months old and is blue brindle.

I like her a lot Laura.. , I think Cassy has the same Dam as my Ghost be well chuffed if he turns out as well!
You get out what you put in so they say....So as long as i am as active with him as you obviously are with Cassy should be sound

Laura, she's a great looking dog. If you go back in the pedigree on a few of my APBT's you can find a single registered Irish Staffy named Kunze's Johnny Rotten. His influence in the breedings can still easily be seen in his great grandchildren.

Thats interesting to know. Never heard of this dog but I will look into the name, Was this a US bred dog or an UK dog/import?

Its funny how genetics work. There is some EBT blood in my little bitch back in the 5th and 6th generation 1 x EBT and 1 dog who is 1/16 EBT but amazingly Cassys litter sister turned out with very EBT lookking wit the down face and slanty eyes even though most dogs are very stafford in appearance throughout the ped.

thats a nice dog! one question though, when you say she is "regsistered" what do you mean? I thought Irish staffies couldnt be registered with the KC as they are not the same breed as the staffordshire bull terrier, do you mean the DLRC or the IKC?

I see you have presas, bandogs and staffords too - nice to see a fellow Scot with similar interests. Never seen a presa up this way but I just love the breed. We have a Scottish Bull & Rare Breed club going if you are interested? Its really small just now but were hoping to organise a bull & rare breed show up here maybe next year (hopefully ). We have quite a range of dogs come to our meets too - Romany Bulldogs, Old Tyme Bulldogs, Irish Staffords, Staffords, Bullmastiffs and Dorset Old Tyme Bulldogs. PS what is a "romany bulldog"? Ive never heard of that breed, is that a breed owned/bred by gypsies (hence the name romany?) or are they called that for some other reason?

Are there a lot of Irish SBT's in the USA? I have a male from Psycho line.

You know if I ever change from Staffs I will consider an Irish :wink: and that is saying something :wink:

You mean Staffs as in "American Staffordshire Terrier"? I have an Irish SBT now and I must say they're quite different in character. In an Irish SBT you will most likely not find the almost moloss like tranquility that you are used to with the AST. Must admit though that my opinion is based on a not too large a number of Irish SBT's that I've encountered.

Dutch Boy, I think Kazz is referring to the SBT not the AmStaff I am just guessing here but as Kazz owns two SBTs I think this is what she meant.
