It is extremely difficult to determine a dog's breed(s) by appearance. First, a dog may show a similarity to a particular breed, yet actually consist of two or more unrelated breeds. Second, there may be a breed(s) that doesn't show up in the appearance, but has an impact on their temperament or personality. The only way to be sure is to do a dna test. Embark, Wisdom Panel, and DNAMyDog are three such tests. With that, he does look like there might be border collie in there.
