I don't believe any questions have been raised concerning her degree, just opinions on In/Linebreeding.

She told the OP to look out for repeated names in a pedigree which indicates inbreeding,in my opinion no it doesn't it indicates line breeding which good breeders tend to do,to maintain breed type and consistancy. Inbreeding is banned by the KC so any pups would not be elgible for registration.

The OP then asked questions regarding repeated names (line breeding) in a pedigree.

I would not become upset if someone asked me the status of my dog,I mean what's upsetting about such a simple question ?

If your partner is that easily upset then perhaps forums are not her thing because you do get differing points of view and questions sometimes.

at the end of the day her opinion is hers and the fact that she is being interigated about this is unfair she joined because she has a high intrest in dogs and no to have fights

we both enjoy spending time with our 2 dogs and not fighting about whos opinion is right or wrong she has stated her opinion and you have stated yours now let just drop this fight and start a fresh and try and get along

Advise was given that I did not understand.
No mention of health testing, no mention of the pitfalls of breeding recessive genes to get "colours".
Just no names repeated in the pedigree, I struggle with that advice being given to someone looking to buy a puppy.

So was just trying to understand were this was goming from and if I could learn something.

the advice was given on what we did and we took a long time to decide which breader we went to doing background research on the breader meeting several times before and after our puppy was born

the tests were not brought in to question because with good breaders all the infomation is check and all can be verified we have all the paper work for our puppy and she is fully K.C

so at the end of the day we were using experiance that we had picked up during the process to try and help another and checking the the family history of a dog can also be help the reason health check werer neva bought up was becasuse they were mentioned before she posted and she was just adding to the infomation

Ok I could ask a lot more questions her because I am asking about health tests and you are sayin all the paper work is here and she is fully KC.
    Not the same thing.
I have had this exchange with many many people.

Fully KC does not mean fully health tested.
    For information
Can one of the moderator PM me and let me know if I can post information on health testing and recommendations on buy a stafford puppy given by the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Breed Council

Perhaps you could explain to the OP then why blues don't do well in the show ring and not many are shown ?

My current puppy has a blue Dam,Grandam,Uncle and sibling's.
She is Brindle and I will not be going to a blue stud dog,if and when we decide to breed from her.Why because very few Blues meet the breed standard, and I want to breed as close to the standard as possible.

The original poster did say she might want to try showing.
I posted about the grey nose a few pages back.

You did put your self across as being experienced and knowledgeable, stating your qualifications.

Now I am in danger of asking a question please don't take it the wrong way.
You said your pup is unaffected for PHPV is that because her parents are or because you have had her eye tested.
Is she tested clear or hereditary clear

You mean unaffected for PHPV as done by an eye specialised.
And you tested her yourself for L2 Hga and HC

Perhaps we could know the registered names of the puppy and its parents, a check on the KC website will then show the relevant tests have been done.

Sorry i have been away from here for a while!

I really appreciate all the advice on health testings and what to look for.

I have been looking at several staffies and at the moment we have found a breeder that sells blue staffies about an hour and a half away from us so not too far to travel. We have put ourselves down on the waiting list but we are still looking around at other breeders.

We went to the RSPCA this weekend to look at staffies and they have about 10 pure and staffy crosses. We fell in love with two males.... one 5 year old brindle called Barney and a 3 year old red who didnt have his name displayed. Both seemed like lovely dogs came to greet us at the front of the kennel without barking and growling like a lot of the dogs in there.

However when asking if we would be able to rehome to an apartment we were advised it is possible however you have to petition it with some board after a viewing and it can take months.

Do you think it's okay to buy a puppy from a website advertising puppies?

I would not buy a puppy from a web site.
Have you spoken to the breed rescue in your area. If you PM me your location I will send you the nearest contact.

Is the blue litter health tested, if you want to let me know KC name of sire and dam I can show you how to check.

I don't see a problem with guying a puppy from an adertising website........aslong as the parents have had all their health tests, you can see the results, and their KC papers and you can view them and the puppies before you buy.
Also make sure you get your puppies KC papers the day you get the dog.

Ah thank you i will PM you now.
And we're going to visit the dogs (before puppies are born) and ask more questions but i all i know so far is the dam is called Trixie (whos sire is JOLSON'S BLUE BOY and dam is BITSY BLUE BABY OF SPARYBULLYS) and the sire is LENSONS KID (LENNY).

Tbh i'm still looking into it as when i've read through her website unless it's not been updated in a while... (information about the dogs) it says Trixie is only 2 and a half years old but has already had two litters from the puppy page. So i'm not sure.

I will PM you the website address as well see what you think, we've not commited ourselves to anything yet we do really want a puppy but are still looking into rescue as well.

We have seen some staffy puppies advertised on a website in lancashire that are a decent price and claim to have all health checks, come mirco-chipped, KC Registered ect...
