No average is £1200 for a well bred pup these days.

    Cane Corso http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cane_Corso
I'm mortified they've been introduced into the breeding programme your puppy come from.

What health testing did they do on their dogs, as they should have done quite a few, regarding the breeds used.

    Nicci to be honest.

We're not very clued up on the breed at all. My partner saved an abused Old Tyme English, and when he split from his partner she stayed with her. He always wanted another so we got her.

We did our best in finding a health breeder and we came across that website which seemed great. Like I said b4, what do we know?

We could only go by what they told us, she's been checked by a vet to say she's healthy and that's the most important thing to us.

Sorry is this is a sensitive subject for you.

The father is Edge on that website an Aylestone Old Time & the mother is Gremlin.

I don't think they have been cross bred with a Corso?

It isn't a sensitive subject just I'm very passionate about my Breeds, a pedigree Cane Corso being one of them.

Was your puppy out of Curly?

I'll not comment on the Aylestone (simply because I'm not a fan of them) and only puppy photo's of Gremlin have been displayed and no information regarding the way she was bred, so I really cannot comment further...

But...Curly is a mixture of all sorts of breeds including a Corso, and been bred to a KC Bulldog - IMO not the best breeding in the world, it makes me sad.

Ok hon...Thanks for your input, it's good to know a little more about what goes on.

Sorry if I sound ignorant on the breed. Like I said before my parter saved a badly abused OEB and I got him another as a gift. So I know nothing about them and could only go by what the breeder tells us unfortunately!

She is cute, but a madame. I love her dearly, but my GSD is where my heart lies. He's my boy! :001:

I think modern breeders of all the various "old type" Bulldogs are looking for something similar to the KC registered breed but less extreme in conformaton.

The Bulldog from before the 1800s looked nothing like the breed we have now - if they were still around they would be be banned under the DDA.
