    Poodle x shih tzu

Hi all, am collecting a toy poodle x shih tzu tomorrow, 13 month old male who appears to have been an impulse buy originally.
Anyone know potential personality or behavioural quirks to look out for.
He is coming as a playmate for Louis my shar pei x

I have a shih tzu and he's perfect! He doesn't bite, he doesn't jump up on people, he's very loveable and a fast learner. Be sure to watch out for cherry eye. It's like a little bubble on the corner of his eye that comes out every once in a while. He had surgery on it when we first got him because the vet had said it was necessary but it still comes out so I'm not to sure what to do. They are very smart so don't get him used to doing tricks only with treats like my dog :( its one thing i regret

Hope all goes well when you collect your new dog today! I've never had a shih tzu, but the ones I've met have been delightful. I know poodles, though I've never had a toy, and they are very quick learners and keen to entertain. I think toys sometimes have teeth problems.

As long as he's been properly cared for and socialised in his first home I would imagine he'll be full of personality. Look forward to hearing how he and Louis get on.

HI, I would like to share my experience with my shih tzu poodle Fluffy. We had her when she was just three weeks old. We had issues house training her. But I got a tips about potty training and committed myself to really getting her to get used to the routine. Eventually she knew how to conduct herself around the house. She's adorable and very sweet. She doesn't have mood swings like my japanese Spitz. :)
