Hello. I recently bought a shih tzu and i want to ask is it really pure shih tzu or not? It's 4 months old and isn't growing long hair
To be honest I can’t remember when mine had his first haircut, at 4 months he’s still young and he looks lovely, I wouldn’t worry, if his hair doesn’t grow long you’ll be spared the trips to the groomers, I Clíp mine myself and do it every 4 weeks before I frontline him, only let it grow longer in January and Feb., as long as he’s healthy and happy that’s the main thing and he looks really cute.
Did you see the puppy's parents, and did the puppy come with any registration papers? It [he or she?] is very cute, whether pure bred or not.
Google four month Shih Tzu puppy pictures, and see how they compare to your puppy. If you still have doubts, you could always DNA test for breed parentage.
