My Mother-in-law used to have one about 15yrs ago She was called Chanel. She didn't really like going for a walk, you would get so far, then she would sit and wouldn't budge!! Very sweet natured dog, and very loyal; don't really know why they are called terriers, as she was nothing like one ;-) I also have a soft spot for them think its cos they are scruffy looking!! Jann xx
awww, no walking would be a no no! ......still might be different with me! I really like them, looks wise!
Don't know much about them, but you never see many would be interesting to see if anyone has one here, i remember one user did but i dont know if she still comes on. Just had a look on the thread Pics of your terriers and there's a pic of a skye terrier on the 2nd page so adorable.
They are a british vulnerable breed so would suggest you contact breed club for honest information. Link below http://www.skyeterrierclub.org.uk/
I have been told they can be a bit 'sharp'. And that a judge should never lean over a skye. However the ones i have met have been delightful and very friendly so i suppose it depends on the lines. Sorry, not much help but im sure someone on here must own/of owned one
thanks everyone, what day is terrier day at crufts? may go & visit DD on sunday if i can get away from my bench for 15mins to meet some! Not that i could have one, just day dreaming! xx
Ahhh im only there sunday, will try to pop to DD on the sunday.....you never know maybe one day! I really like them, really appeal to me for some reason!
