Hayley and Sal I agree totally, dont think I could have any other breed now!

They make me feel happy after a bad day at work, they cheer me up when I feel down, they are so loving and friendly to everyone and anyone and whats more they live for every second they can spend with you and every time you pat them and every time they give you that sneaky stafford kiss.

Hope that makes sense, typed in a hurry hope there were no spelling mistakes ;-)

They seem like very people orientated dogs that are sadly owned by some complete and utter morons. I would't have one though!

just gorgeous - love them to bits and would always have one. just so people orientated but like other breeds wanted by the wrong people for the wrong reasons and have the wrong reputation due to this.

but are my breed and wouldnt change mine for the world.

Never met a bad one. Just ones that want to lick my face off get as close to you as possible.
Only last night I was at training and one just wouldn't stop going mad for a tummy rub. Nothing else mattered :D
There not a breed that I would have but only as we all have our favourite breeds, however I'm fed up the press and people giving them bad press saying their not family dogs. Trained correctly there a good family pet.
I remember a few years ago in rescue, a staffy came in. He had been seized and was a bait dog for fighting, ie, he was used to wind the other dogs up (the other dogs would have a frenzy attacking him) before the other dogs set on each other. This dog was so scarred and had been badly beaten (broken limbs) A friend of mine who worked at the rescue actually took him home with her as she couldn't see him in the kennel, all he wanted to do was be with people and cuddled. After a period of assessment he went to a lovely home. After all that poor dog went though, being attacked by other dogs and treated badly by humans, you'd be forgiven if it turned bad. But it just wanted to please and love someone. It happily lives as part of a family. That in my mind is a credit to the breed. :D

There are so many with similar stories to that and yet they forgive all that humans do to them,i can remember the story of Jack who was set on fire and really badly burned
Here's the link to his story,it contains images you may find upsetting. But it has a lovely happy ending,a real credit to his breed.

    I like Staffies.

If properly trained and cared for, they make ideal family pets and as most of you probably know, are known as nanny dogs, due to their compatability with children.

It's the idiots who get Staffies for the 'status' that give them the bad name they do not deserve.

We have a few at dog training classes. A friend of mine has a Staffie. He is most adorable and well behaved. Occassionally, she has had people ask her to cross the road, or keep out the way while they walk their dogs. Alot of the time, he is better behaved than the people who ask her to move with him. Quite rightly, she tells them where to go!

My Taz was stolen and used to fight but it hasn't harmed his love for human companionship. He is such a fantastic friend and pet and i love him from the bottom of my heart. He has so much personality and character and i couldn't imagine our lives without him.
He makes me feel safe, happy and loved and i can't wait to spend a nice long weekend with him.
    Happy Easter.

Well they arent a breed I would want, saying that, a properly socialised one is usually a delight. The other dogs issue is what puts me off.

I have loved all mine to fdeath and my currentone is an absolute clown and i love her to bits. I am so glad i took her on as she has filed my days with laughter with the silly things she does. She is also amazing with other dogs and thinks that everyone and everything is her friend :D

The best is when she playes with the cat. Every morning she has a mad 5minutes chasing poor Timmy round the garden but it's his fault for stalking her and jumping her when she is going for a pee
