    Westie mouth

Just noticed today that my 6 year old girl has what looks like an infection at both sides of her bottom lip. One side is worse than the other. Going to the vet soon but just wondered if anyone on here has noticed this on their westie (or any breed). Could be where the fur gets wet when she drinks and of course they don’t wipe their mouths - sometimes on the carpet though.
Any advice would be great thanks.

Sounds as if it could be a lip-fold dermatitis. I would let the vet have a look, she could need a course of antibiotics.

Just been to the vet and you were correct - lip-fold dermatitis. She is on antibiotics. All good now thanks.
