A Brittany is a HPR!! I thought it might be our own KC who classes it as a HPR but the FCI class it within the pointing breeds too. It's deffo not a spaniel.

As a huge lover of the breed this really bugs me!

Spaniel - Clumber or Sussex, both working though not show type, the difference is huge that I've seen.
Setter - Gordon, if it's not one I have a bit of though it would have to be a blue english!
    HPR - Large Munsterlander.
    Retriever - Flatcoat

Spaniel - fallen in love with the field but love the ESS still (had one as a child)
HPR - Wirehaired Vizla or Slovak
Setter - have had one of each except the red and white but tbh they don't appeal to me - as I don't have an Irish at the moment I'll say Irish
Retriever - think Flatcoat - love their nature

must admit the red and white didnt appeal to me either... flatcoats have one of the friendliest natures ive ever known.

when i was at work with six of them i never stopped smiling as one of them would do something, and they always made me laugh out loud. i really miss them  they get on with any dog, big or small, i think flatties and setters would make a great pair, but watch because they mind end up too intelligent for you and team up, then you will have trouble    think the only way im going to stop missing them so much is to get one of my own
