Why you will see more Wolf types in rescue

I have just seen this advert ..
    What do you think??

''i have a gorgeous timber wolf bitch with rare markings coming into heat very soon. i am looking for a stud for her. i want another wolf type breed to go to stud with her.
pick of the litter is offered as i am on a low income and you must also be willing to travel.''

I had to educate two of my friends I met up with on holiday this weekend. They had just come from a fair where they had met two beautiful wolf dogs. They were very excited and said they had asked all about them and were told they were Northern inuits and were an ancient breed of wolf dogs, originally bred by the inuit people to guard their flocks! That they were still quite rare, but they were going to breed their two dogs together and could put their names down for puppies if they wanted...

I put them straight about the breed origins and pointed them at Many Tears if they were still interested in owning one.

I met a bloke with a wolf in our local park once. I didn`t have the heart to tell him he had an underweight GSD cross.....

If she has a timber wolf she needs reporting. Do they not come under the animals you need a permit/licence for???

as if its a pure wolf  timber wolf with 'unusual markings' :? lol.... its gonna be an n.i or gsd cross or along those lines.

...well... i have a 'wolf type' male.. i could give them a call.

hmmm, oh they want the stud to go to them..lazy b*ggers

I love wolfs/wolfy types but dont think they are suitable for people who live in towns & dont have the space & time to look after them properly.

I spoke recently to a big breeder of these types of dogs who said with a straight face that there would soon be many more in rescue because " people don't know what they are taking on"-----words failed me----why ON EARTH is she breeding and selling them in huge quantities if she knows they are going to be unwanted and that people won't cope with them.
