Allow Tail docking !! Government petition - please sign!! Controversial

Oh dear...here we go again guys.
I won't sign (obviously).

As for people not speaking up against docking on this thread, well, it doesn't say only pro dockers can answer. QIt was posted as a request to sign a petition, some people have said they won't and explained why.

I like tails.
I am anti hunt.
I'm not signing.

Lets keep it sign or not, its all been done before!

we had a boxer bitch with a tail the poor bitch the pups used to tourture her ,and she banged the end in her kennel many times and the blood ,we had to tape it to stop it bleeding ,im sorry im for docking and dew claw to be removed iv signed . and so will a lot of people i knw have u seen a dog rip off its dew claw ,the pain the blood .

Never will I agree with or support tail docking. It is totally wrong, in my opinion. To me, it's like removing a childs fingers 'just in case' they get jammed in a door, for example.

90% of the British Veterinary Association are against it.

Tail docking can cause incontinence, especially in bitches and weakened muscles around the anus, and let's not forget he pain they feel during and after the barbaric docking.

I have had people tell me of bitches who reject their puppies due to hearing them squeel in pain when being docked. Very sad indeed.

I do not agree with hunting either.

I currently groom a working English Springer Spaniel (he is shaved in all over) which is undocked. This dog has had cuts and grazes all over it's body, but never any on his tail.

In addition, I find dogs much more appealing with tails.

My rescue multi-pedigree bitch has a marvellous curly tail, and both my dogs use their tails as rudders when running!

Also, dogs use their tails as a method of communication, for other dogs and humans alike.

Sorry not signed here.I had a Rottie with a tail and he was just as fantastic as the ones i have had with no tail.so i don't see the need for docking.

The reality of the matter is that by far the vast majority of people are against docking. I think this legislation will not be repealled ever, and from the information I have from DEFRA will in fact be made even tighter.
