They just look like a cross of all the husky, malamute types to me.

I thought the Untongan was meant to be the most wolf looking. Sorry about the spelling.

I tried to resist .................. honest.........

I thought the Alsation v the GSD debate was bad, but I had no idea that there were so many issues, names, etc around NI, BTD, Utonogan or whatever other name dogs of this sort/type (not meant to be derogatory) etc.

Is this a "mine is better than yours" thread or what?

I thought it was a spoof thread at first and would never have read it had someone not resurrected it.

Stands back, puts on flak jacket, tin helmet and ear defenders.

    Ok

Personal attacks no, taking the p out of a breed standard that calls for a dog to be anatomicly malfunctional, yes.

If you want us to take them seriously and they in general want to be taken seriously, then they really need to sort that out...its ridiculas in the extreme. Not to mention unprofessional, can you honistly see nothing wrong with it?

The video is poor advertising for the type of dog end of. Just makes them out to be untrained and agressive, thats not going to attract the right type of owner. Also, it makes them out to be wolves, which they aren't and how exactly does a dog pull like a wolf?

You may disagree with me but imo, like the dogs used in a game of thrones, they look more like the sib mixes they are and less like the wolves they're supposed to be.

Well you're in luck, according to one website wolves are infact cats not dogs...and they supposedly breed these cat wolves too.

I say supposedly, as could never decide if it was a p**s take or not.

Think there is a thread about it on here somewhere.

This thread is civilized compaired to many of the others on these types of dogs.

As for the different types, just to confuse you we've got the:

    Northern Inuit
    Utonagan
    British Utonagan
    British Inuit
    British wolfdog
    British Timbre dog
    Tamaskan
    Tamaskan wolfdog
    Aatu Tamaskan
    Anglo wolfdog

    Have I missed any?

Never mind subgroup for showing, with the amount of new offshoots, think they're trying for a whole new subspecies.

I really can't keep track of all these supposedly 'new' mixes coming out. Personally I cant see any difference from the BTD to the NI

That standard seriously made me howl...ooops I best not howl I'll be in one of their breeding kennels before you can say Northern Inuit :p
