Hello Lynn - I am sorry that I can not help you, but why buy a puppa when the mom had caught a virus and died when the puppas were just two-weeks old?

Do you know what virus and has your puppa been checked by your vet?

Right. So Momma dog caught [how?] a virus [what virus?] and died when the puppas were just two-weeks old?

How did she "catch" a such a deadly virus two weeks after giving birth?

He's cute :). You'll tell his breed better as he gets older.

Whatever his breed, love him for who he is

I have to admit that this sounded a bit odd to me as well. I would have thought that a virus lethal enough to have killed an adult Malamute, would have killed her two week old puppies too.
Whilst accepting that stranger things have happened, this is type of story which often used to explain why there is no mother present when puppies are being sold. Puppies like these have usually been advertised on internet selling pages. They often turn out to have been imported, or otherwise bought in, and are being sold by dog dealers.

Looks like a malamute. Only real way to tell is to give him a dna test. Could have a part husky elder a couple gens back, you never know. Ebay has wisdom 2.0 panels for like $65, I'd do that instead of playing the guessing game.
