Hi, I am new to this forum but not a new dog owner, lost my beloved lab to cancer 5 months ago. He was a member of our family for 12 years and it was the most horrible day of my life. So 5 months later we are just about to pick up a Springador puppy tomorrow. 12 years since I owned a puppy, can’t remember much and of course new personality. Any advice welcome on getting through the first few days and nights settling in. I have read to crate him in our room at night setting an alarm for a couple of wee trips...
