@Tessabelle has just given me an idea with her thread here: http://www.forum.breedia.com/threads/a-beginners-guide-to-owning-a-german-pinscher.13236 a new category where members can post about their experiences with a breed We can then add a link to this category in the box that shows on the right hand side in some of the profile pages: http://www.breedia.com/dogs/schnauzer/photos (once we've been going a while, that's where I intend to add a link to the photo category threads for each breed too). I think this is exactly the sort of thing people looking for info about the breed will be interested in. And I love that this will lead people on to the forum, where, if they want to, they will be able to ask you questions directly Good idea? If so, what do you think we should call it? Testimonials, Experiences, K9 Case Notes? Or something else? (Thanks for the idea Tess!)
I think a bit of inception might have been at play there!! I think it would be great, the thread in question just didn't seem to fit with what was available...Discussion was almost the one but then I thought it would be pretty sad if no one actually discussed it!! I almost chose training but that didn't feel right either so I opted for General Chat. I vote Testimonials, but quite like k9 Case Notes too
I much prefer Experiences. Testimonials sounds to me as though you're writing a character reference for your dog and K9 Case Notes as though the dog's a delinquent. whereas "Experiences" leave you open to write your own personal experience in whatever aspect you chose. I've had ongoing problems with Georgina's eyes but I don't want to give the impression every SP suffers from entropion problems and I think it would fit better under "Experiences" than under the Shar-Pei breed section ....... that's my opinion for what its worth
Ok done, as 'experiences' (we can always change it later) I have also added @Jackie's and @Tessabelle's threads to the new category... but I am sure there was another experiences thread somewhere but can't remember now - if you posted one let me know and I will change the category. I'm loving these categories, they are going to come in very handy as we grow and get bigger
