Very scared pup Questions

    Very scared pup

    I have an 8 week old malinois and she is incredibly nervous around people or pretty much anything that moves outdoors is this normal? She's only been with me for 5 days so I'm hoping it's just because she's in new surroundings

    She's very young. Ripped away from her family and all she knows so some initial fear is bound to be there. I hope she is more settled now

    In addition, puppies go through periods of shyness, insecurity, and even fearfulness. Just be understanding and positive. Also, if she is scared, it is OK to comfort her. You are not going to "reinforce" her behavior because fear is an emotion not a behavior. You just don't want to reward accompanying behavior like snapping.
