Australian Cattle Dogs are very intelligent, loyal and very protective of their human. They tend to be a one person dog but get along with all family members. They are very wary of strangers and can be aggressive but mine has never bit anyone, he just barks. They tend to herd anything that moves. The worst thing a person can do is run from one.
My Chip is one of the most loving dogs I have ever had. He loves to play ball and work on my farm.

Thanks for the info Steven - they are definitely on my short list :D

You say Chip works on your farm - what sort of work does he do? Herding? If you have any youTube vids of him I'd love to see them :)

He used to work my hogs but since my disability I had to sell off my stock. I have no videos or pics of him working. I was always to busy working them to take any. I will try to find something he does to show what he can do in future.
